Valentine’s pure hearts

I love Valentine’s day! Yep, I do!

Let’s face it. How can anyone be insensitive to love? Lots of people like to say that Valentine’s day is nothing but a commercial concept and dispise it. I don’t agree with this point of view. Why not think of that day as a little reminder for all of us, who are running in our busy lives, to just stop one second and think about what loving means to us and how it can give wings to our hearts ? A little reminder to just spread even more love than any other day of the year!

Telling someone you love him/her can be as simple as a kiss or a hug. This is enough, isn’t it? No need for any extraordinary or expensive gift. That’s actually free! What are you waiting for?!

Happy Valentine’s day!

Have a spectacular year!

Happy New Year, everybody!

May 2012 be the year of all your dreams come true! As for me, I received the best wish I could ever wish for: “Have a spectacular year!” this friend said to me. So yes, I’ll do my best to live 2012 as the most spectacular year I’ve ever lived! I plan to put music in my soul, sparkles in my eyes, jumps for joy in my legs, palpitations in my heart, as when your eyes are wide open, full of incredulity in front of a marvellous show, and the only word your mouth is able to speak is “… Wow…”

A year full of happiness, joy, creativity, magic, music, love, surprises and fireworks!

Let’s have a lovely, magical and spectacular year!

Happy Holidays!

As the end of the year approaches, I wanted to create something special for the holidays. Naturally, my paper hearts fit the season perfectly (they actually fit all year!). So I decided to make paper heart christmas ornaments. So here they are, some are glittery, others are just pure white, or red. They can show a message, a word of love, peace, happiness… and even more: you can choose the words you would like to share with your loved ones at this time of the year! These paper hearts will bring such a joyful touch to your cozy homes. Especially with this christmas song “Maybe this time” by the “Good Lovelies”, a song I discovered recently and which has now become my favorite christmas song . Enjoy!

Of course you will find these items in my etsy shop.

I would like to warmly thank my lovely florists, just beside where I live. They nicely offered their precious help for a freezing but great photo session! They lent me their beautiful white and red christmas trees, and all the sparkling plants there, and even suggested me great ideas for the photos! “Monceau Fleurs” Team, let me tell you something: you are the best! Merci mille fois!!!

Create in me a pure heart…

Do you remember this pure heart?

If you were in London in march 2011, you may have met this heart!

I actually designed this paper heart for the launch of my friend Luke Slott‘s album “Create in me a pure heart” on march 19th. This Baha’i prayer, beautifully set into music and sung by Luke, is just breathtaking. I love this song and it inspired me this simple and pure heart, made with pure white velum paper and hand-sewn with white cotton thread.

From there, I was inspired to design a collection of paper jewelry. These baby hearts have lived in my thoughts for a while and then were nurtured with love in my home-studio for months (nine, actually!). They are now born and are making their first steps into cyber-life in my new etsy shop.

I’m happy to introduce you to the “pure heart collection”! (click here to browse the collection)
